How to get to Bucharest

By plane
There are two airports in Bucharest:
Otopeni – lying 17 km from the capital. Bus connections (line 488 and 451) leaving from Piata Presei Libere as well as taxi and minibus provide frequent connections to the city.
Baneasa - especially used for inner flights, this airport is also served by international chart and low cost airlines. Flights are provided by numerous companies like TAROM, ALITALIA , CARPATAIR, BLUEAIR, with connections to Germany, Italy, France and Austria.

By train
There are five railway stations in Bucharest: Gara de Nord, Gara Basarab, Gara Obor, Gara Progresului and Gara Baneasa
All of them offer connections with the entire country, but only the Gara de Nord is served by international trains coming from West Europe. The majority of these trains depart from Vienna.

By car and by bus
A private vehicle is certainly the best way to reach Romania and to enjoy the amazing natural sceneries which this country offers.
